Drop of Nature
Nature Aquarium (11cm*6cm*9cm)
Drop of Nature is a celebration of simplicity and scale, capturing the vastness of nature within a tiny, intimate frame. Built on a base of ADA Power Sand topped with ADA Amazonia Version 2 soil, this small aquascape creates a powerful presence despite its modest size.
The composition is centered around striking pieces of driftwood that dramatically extend beyond the confines of the aquarium’s height, giving the impression of trees reaching toward an unseen canopy. The layout is densely planted with Anubias nana and Anubias nana petite, chosen for their resilience and delicate, textured greenery.
Lighting was kept minimal — a basic planted tank light suspended from above to accommodate the tall driftwood structure. Like a true low-tech setup, no CO₂ injection or fertilizers were used. Instead, the scape thrived naturally with Kaveri river tap water (TDS ~90), highlighting the strength of good design and healthy fundamentals.
Drop of Nature invites viewers to pause and marvel at how a small space, thoughtfully crafted, can feel boundless — a single drop carrying the spirit of an entire forest.
Plants used: Anubias Nana Petite, Anubias Nana, Helanthium tenellum, Staurogyne Repens, Hygrophila Polysperma.
